Recently, a family flew in for a weekend and gave him the task to find them the perfect home in 72 hours. After a brief phone chat, they narrowed their choice to 3 homes to check out in person. Which would you choose?
How to Find a Home in Las Vegas Stress-Free
“Not every home is going to tick off every need, that is really rare, ” he said. “But you can set yourself up to find your ideal home by just doing a few things.”
The three most important things to find a home in Las Vegas are price, configuration and location.
“You can boil down the entire process to these three categories because one will be more important than the other two and that is where all of our attention should be focused so that we have a positive result,” he said.
“Knowing the Top 10 things you really want can help you realize that the home you want to look at is a legitimate contender for your next home purchase,” he said.
Which Home for Sale in Las Vegas Would You Choose?
House #1
Pros: It is in a highly sought-after master-planned community, so it was priced higher because
the demand is higher in master-planned communities as a whole. The reputation, manicured streets
and volume of amenities makes this area a constant hot spot for potential homeowners.
Cons: The square footage was a bit smaller, backyard was definitely smaller and had a spa but no
pool. It also came with 2 HOAs as well as a SID payment. (More on SIDS in a later article)
House #2
Pros: Was nestled in a part of the city where from Elementary to High School the schools were all
very highly rated on greatschools.org.
Cons: The home is a bit older than #1 and so the floor plan and finishes were dated and needed to eventually be updated and the wish list pool was nowhere to be found in their price range.
House #3
Pros: The backyard and pool was amazing, the floor plan was open and the home was newly remodeled with current building materials and paint scheme. It flowed so well from the moment you opened the door.
Cons: The schools weren’t as highly rated a few of the neighboring homes seemed to be in need of some
maintenance and the closest park was a car ride away.
