Moving Out

It can feel overwhelming as you look around your home and figure out what goes first. A good rule is to start packing all those things you simply don’t need now. If it’s summer, bundle up those parkas and sweaters. Big dishes, serving trays and bowls and other kitchen items that don’t get used regularly can be carefully boxed up since you more than likely won’t be throwing any parties as you pack up your home.

Make a box of essentials, such as plates, silverware, small appliances that will help to heat up foods and the coffee maker (oh, you’re going to need that!), and label it to be unpacked first. Same for clothing and toiletries. Mark those clearly to be placed in a spot you can easily find them to have on hand when the chaos of moving in descends upon you.
