Description
The Year of the Rabbit is on full and beautiful display and we have ways to explore the flowers and meanings behind each object in the garden beds. If you haven’t explored the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, you are missing out on one of locals’ favorite free seasonal events. This is changed out every season and it’s magical every time.
If you HAVE explored the display, you can still enjoy this treasure hunt and guess how many flowers it took to create a certain animal or what was used to make amazing art that is tucked into the garden beds.
This activity kit breaks down each of the four beds. Kids, and adults, can take the worksheet and use it as a treasure hunt to see who can find the answers to each question, such as:
- What does the birdcage hold?
- How many cranes are perched in what bed?
- How many rabbits, talismans and more are in the display and what are they made of?
We’ve included coloring pages along with the answers to each of the questions in the activity kit. Take time to explore the exhibit and soak in the beauty of the natural creations.
About This Year’s Exhibit
There is a lot more than meets the eye happening at this year’s holiday display. Every few months the garden is transformed in just days. Garden designer Ed Libby and Bellagio’s horticulture team design intricate creations for the holidays or the seasons. There are four beds with ornate sculptures in each. It’s relatively easy to explore with wide walkways that wind through the flower show. Each flower type is clearly labeled, so it’s a great opportunity to explore botany and beauty.![]()
